I requested a quote for my used laptop on your estimator page, but I haven’t heard from you. What’s wrong?
Make sure that the e-mail address and phone number you provided is updated. We love talking to our customers and want to make sure you have a positive experience. We’ll answer all your questions promptly.

I got quoted for a certain amount for my used laptop, but received a check for a different amount? Why?
When you arrive at the estimator page, we ask you a few questions to get a feel for the condition for your used laptop. Once your laptop arrives in our facility, we use a more detailed checklist to accurately evaluate your laptop’s condition. If it’s in better shape than we initially thought, we guarantee that we’ll offer you more money than the original quote. If there’s a crack or other damage that we’ll give you market value for it. At that point, if you’re not happy with the amount you’ll get, then we’re not happy. And we can send the laptop back to you at your request.

How do I determine the screen size of my laptop?
The easiest way to determine your laptop’s LCD screen size is to measure it diagonally with a ruler. If the measurement is 12.7″ to 13.3″, we consider it a 13″ screen; if the measurement is 13.7″ to 14.3″, we consider it a 14″ screen; and so on. If you are not sure of the size of your LCD screen, check 14″; this is the most common size. We will make the necessary adjustments to the quoted price when your laptop arrives at our facility.

Why wasn’t I quoted a price for my used laptops?
We will buy laptops that are still in the market, but those we can’t buy we’ll happily take them off your hands and recycle them for you. We appreciate that you want to do your part for the environment.

We start with our shipping supplies. We reuse everything! When you send the padded box that cradles your laptop back to our facility, we reuse that box. Boxes that can no longer be reused are recycled by a local recycler. Same goes for the bubble wrap, padding and paper.

Most importantly, the laptops you sell do not end up in a landfill. Electronic waste accounts for 70 percent of the toxic chemicals in the landfills. These chemicals seep into the waterways and swept up into the air, triggering great harm to plants, animals and humans. Instead of dumping laptops that come through our door, we help wholesalers reuse and repurpose the laptops.

We send you everything you need to sell your laptop safely and securely. Here’s what to expect once you’re ready to sell your laptop:

• Shipping materials. Your investment is important to us. That’s why we’ll send you an insured padded box to guarantee your laptop arrives in the same condition you sent it. We’ll also send you clear step-by-step instructions on how to pack your laptop to make the most of the padded box.

• Free shipping and handling. We’ll send you a self-adhesive shipping label so you don’t have to pay a penny for sending your laptop to us. On top of that, we’ll send you a list of the three closest UPS drop off points closest to your address. You’ll receive a tracking number along with your quote so you can track the progress of your package and know when it arrives at our facility in Reno, Nevada.
